Job Summary
We are seeking a Medical Secretary to join our team! As a Medical Secretary, you will be responsible for greeting patients who come in the door, checking them in, and pulling relevant patient files or obtaining new patient information. You will also answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate place, mail or fax documentation to the appropriate offices, and maintain excellent medical and correspondence records, as evident by overseeing records/documentation submitted by direct caregivers for accuracy and completion. The ideal candidate is very organized, has strong customer service and interpersonal skills, and works well independently and within a team. The Medical Secretary will work closely with the RN administrator of the facility making sure the charts /medical records are maintained according to the state of Michigan Home for the Aged guidelines.
